Description
Mental health is a tough issue to speak up about. It's personal, it's frustrating and often, it's hidden. We want to break that stigma that makes people feel like they have to keep it that way.
Beneath the Skin is a one night only performance utilising imagery, songs, monologues and spoken word poetry to create a space where an awareness and understanding for performers who suffer from anxiety and depression can be created. Beneath the Skin presents the issues in a manner that is easy to understand and access. We look at the ugly sides of mental illness but also shine light and collectively build hope.
We will be raising awareness for a fantastic organisation called Entertainment Assist, a health promotion charity that raises awareness about mental health in the Australian entertainment industry.
